I love it when covers form a panorama. It's so cool.

But this makes it much harder to condense the game into one box and throw the other away. 😭

Spent the day at a local convention. Had great fun, playing an excellent set of games

Played 2016's K2 last night. A bit of a cutthroat race, where you manage your movement and acclimatization points. Sometimes you'll chose to camp at a pass just make the lower players freeze.

I thought mountain climbers were more friendly!

That's a wrap on Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It's been at least a decade since I played it last, it still holds up as a grounded tale of injustice and prejudice.

Anyone who is a fan of Fire Emblem gameplay should play this entry. I'm glad it's more accessible now on the Switch 2.

The name of the game is Coffee Rush. But my customers largely prefer tea.

Well that's kind of backwards. I feel like games have been trending towards bigger pieces, thicker tiles, or just straight up giant editions (looking at you, Bezier)

Queen is using 20% smaller tiles as a selling feature for their new editions of old games.

I wonder how often protagonists just want to shout at their opponents like this.

I feel like if I ran into a Wyvern Knight on the battlefield, I wouldn't be so concerned with the pointy stick the person is holding, but the massive claws and sharp teeth of the literal dragon she's riding on.

Fly, you fools.

It's so challenging to go from playing a game 20 times on BGA and having the platform do all the counting and rule enforcement, to playing it myself on the table.

What do you mean the cards don't glow when I can afford them!?

Dinosaur tea party has been a birthday gift for every niece and nephew the year they turn 5, and I'm so excited it's my daughters turn.

She loves it. I love seeing her figure out deduction. Win win.

Chapter 8 in Path of Radiance does a phenomenal job of instilling a sense of despair. Cornered in a castle, enemies flooding in from all sides. Trying not to lose hope...

Man, that Covid Lockdown did wonders for BGA, didn't it?

LttP leaves room for no sequels. The Master Sword sleeps, FOREVER!

This asshole tho. Moldorm makes me curse every time it shows up.

Lynels were much less of a threat in Link to the Past. I dig the hair metal style tho.

Everytime I look at board games and feel like my hobby is too expensive, Lego shows me that it could be so much worse.

Fire Emblem has always had spectacularly ugly enemy portraits.

womp womp.

I never did get along well with RNG.

I honestly forgot how slow everything is. Gotta set Animation to off and game speed to fast.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is available on Nintendo Switch 2's Gamecube Classics. This was the first Fire Emblem game I purchased with my own money, and it quickly became one of my go-to comfort games.

I never did finish Radiant Dawn, however.
