I read so many good books in April! ✨📚

There were recurring themes of religious extremism, nationalism, and oppression throughout these reads that was unintentional on my part. But maybe that's just been on my mind lately due to current events 🙃

Autistic kids are not broken. Not less. Not damaged. They experience the world differently and that’s not a flaw.

The real issue?

A world that isn’t built to include them.
Change the system, not the child.

Somehow it's already April, so here's my March reading wrap-up.
The stats are a bit off since I read the entire Patternist series by Octavia Butler, but I read it from"Seed to Harvest" so that counts as 4 books by itself 📚✨

In the midst of all these social media platforms popping up lately, I’m kinda upset not a single one brought back the top 8. Give us the top 8. Let. Friendships. Be. Destroyed.

"The mess we are living in is a deliberate one. If it was created by people, it can be dismantled by people, and it can be rebuilt in a way that serves all, rather than a selfish, hoarding few.". Y'all, I cannot recommend this book enough. So relevant to what's going on in the US rn. #booksky
