'Dandelions,' was painted by the Danish artist Bertha Wegmann around 1910. It wasn't an arbitrary choice of a plant to paint: the dandelion was used to promote the women’s liberation movement in Scandinavia because of its capacity for uncontrolled, strong-willed growth.

So my husband apparently had never heard of the phrase “the Leopards would never eat MY face” and just blankly looked at me like I’d lost my mind when I used it. Is this like…a chronically online sort of verbiage and the rest of the world that’s NOT constantly online is not familiar???

Friendly reminder that if you buy a book on Kindle, you're only paying for the rights to read, not own. If a book truly gets banned, it will be taken away from digital platforms like Kindle, nook, etc. Consider getting physical copies of banned (or other) books!
