No, really, they are very deliberately aping the symbology and aesthetics of fascism that exist in TV Land, which has been very effective in demoralizing people easily messaged to (see: this site), but they're doing it so closely they're also aping the incompetence.

These kinds of people would be denying Israeli war crimes if Israel was a client of Russia and not the US. Their only principle is “US uniquely evil” and they work backwards from that.
