To those who would want to defend this- what is the value of saying that X, Y, or Z "aren't human" besides the implied "And thus we don't need to treat them like humans"?

Yeah, it's rhetoric, but as someone whose basic humanity has, historically, been *very* negotiable, "They aren't even *human!*" is a rhetorical tactic I think should remain far, *far* off-limits. Making your enemies inhuman is how you justify doing atrocity to them.

Umamusume is 100% a sports anime and it took the creators awhile to realize that but they’ve really leaned into that over the last year or so. Just look at the newest op, it’s the most sports anime op of all time perhaps.

It was, in retrospect, a mistake to put Garland in charge of the probe on Trump, but speaking very bluntly I think the evidence we currently have RE: SCOTUS indicates that it was a mistake with minimal consequences because they were going to pull his fat from the fire no matter what.

Large portions of this site take as absolute articles of faith that Dems never do anything and never punish Republicans, despite the fact 2020-2024 is littered with examples of them doing things and trying (and sometimes succeeding!) at punishing Republicans.
