I am super American in that I get pissed when a celebrity gets diagnosed with the same disease as me because they're going to be adored for being publicly brave and not have to go bankrupt treating it.

Thanksgiving is on Thursday. Just here to say that the act of cooking is morally neutral. Store bought. Homemade. Restaurant. Food pantry. Soup kitchen. Shelter. The kindness of a stranger. It's not a competition. Give what you can. Receive what you need. Leave the shame at the door.

Update: I have not made it to the woods yet. I have only made it as far as the local Hungarian restaurant to commune with my Eastern European-American brethren over coffee and cabbage. The cabbage transcends. It transcends. 🥬
