A blueberry muffin has now appeared in the branches of the mini lilac tree. The gnome still isn't talking.

If a large apple suddenly appears in the branches of my dormant mini lilac tree, does that mean it's now an apple tree?
A miniature lilac tree in a snow covered backyard is bare and dormant for winter, except for the rather large apple that has appeared in its branches. The apple is half eaten, and squirrels are suspected. The garden gnome at the base of the tree could probably clear this up, but he won't talk.
