Under-discussed (is that even possible on here?) is that Andreessen, Thiel, et al really REALLY want to be seen as grandiose “builders” in the real world and the total building they have done amounts to funding a bunch of scam SMR startups and failing to manage a mixed use real estate development.
There is a lot to hate about the politics of the silicon valley right, but they do actually want to build stuff, and I would prefer if the left didn't cede "we should be able to build stuff" to the right.

It’s called the imperial boomerang folks, the war on terror has been wasted on shithole countries for too long, it’s time to bring it home. Should we do that? Should we bring the war home? I’ve always said the brave troops shouldn’t be killing Iraqi teenagers, they should kill America first.
