Mostly angry with myself. Every time someone does this (even when salmonella is not involved) it makes me incredibly uncomfortable and I promise myself I won't let it happen again but it always does

They're always so quick about it, it's like they consider it a sport. And then you're left feeling furious and fighting your ingrained politeness while you fail to tell them to fuck off.
