Where I am in NC I say rural because we don't live within city limits. But explaining to people what I mean when I grew up in rural MT... usually gets a look of "oh... that's RURAL".

Oddly enough I find it harder to keep holidays like Christmas in my head since it changes the day of the week. Versus holidays that are always on the same day (Memorial and Labor Day, Thanksgiving)
