I flew into SeaTac on Monday and I noticed that it was just SEA in a couple places. Figured it was just a handful that really wanted/needed to use IATA.
But lol... nope I'll always call it SeaTac

Thank you! It's the only way I read library books right now so I was setting myself a reminder to email when I get a chance.

You may be amused to learn that there is an actual, official (though seldom used) name for the quantity "1/4 of a teaspoon". It's name? The "saltspoon". (The abbreviation for saltspoon is "ssp")

So there IS a measure for 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and it's the saltspoon.

Read what you want, darlings, but it's odd when books that happen to feature sex are treated as radioactive and those about murder are treated as general interest.

Where I am in NC I say rural because we don't live within city limits. But explaining to people what I mean when I grew up in rural MT... usually gets a look of "oh... that's RURAL".

The only feed I look at semi regularly is Uplift. It's a nice break when the real world is just a bit too much.

Addition fun facts.
A flock of geese once thought it was a normal lake and they spent A LOT of money to figure out why they died.
They now have to (or soon have to) start removing some water before it gets to the water table.

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't find a tall person and walked up to the front desk. Looked at the 3 women working there and realized I was the tallest.
"Um... do you have a grabby stick?"
"Yep!"

truly LEARNING is breaking things down into their parts and knowing how they fit together and then you can see what parts can fit together with other things in new ways.

I am terrified people are not learning how to synthesize information anymore! or just don't want to???
