Yeah sometimes tickets would say, “customer states No Heat” but the literal problem was an inoperative blower fan lol so a good mechanic asks for all the deets and sometimes mouth sound effects of the problem

Could be as simple as a thermostat sticking resulting is an “overcooling” condition where the engine never quite heats up enough. That would be obvious by the temperature gauge

Haha I can’t blame you. Depending on the make/model it could be as simple as an air pocket trapped in the heater core. Some vehicles have heater cores that are higher up in the dash than the radiator that’s in front of the engine SO since air wants to go up it can get stuck there.
