Day 1 - started my Black History Month with Octavia Butler. Started "Parable of the Sower" and voraciously read 1/2 of the book today. Believe me, when I say Ms. Butler had her finger on the accuracy of 2025. Eerie.

Afro futurism predicted by Octavia Butler in 'Parable of the Sower' has me believing she was an ancient oracle. I am currently reading two of her books: 'Parable of the Sower' and 'Mind of my Mind'. Her visions has me in a chokehold! #booksky #afrofuturism

Gosh, I remember when we had an actual president instead of a loudmouth bully who won't take responsibility for his actions.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT CRASH OUT.
Folks are relying on you to be overstimulated, overwhelmed, & overcome so you won't resist.
Take breaks,
Take a breath,
Be intentional with how you spend your time.
Be effective with how you spend your energy.
Support each other
Rest, live, & fight another day.

The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. We worked for decades to have them remembered. The Airmen too. Knowledge is power. 🗃️ www.msn.com/en-us/societ...

My normie husband asked me what was up with the NIH freeze and how could they do it when very obviously it is a good thing that we should do, and I gave him “they’re Nazis; it’s eugenics” as my answer. Some combo of camps, deportation, and disease is how they’ll make us “great” again.
It’s not complicated: They really believe that they are untouched by disease because they’re built different, not because we engage in society-wide efforts to reduce disease. And they wrongly assume, like Victorian nobility, that when sickness runs rampant it will only take the poor.

Today would marked the 52nd anniversary of the watershed Roe v Wade decision that protected abortion as a fundamental right. It also marks 31 months since the Supreme Court overturned it. Today is an opportunity to honor Roe, learn where it fell short. Pgs 1-5
