I have been thinking of and planning this zine for most of the year and finally finished it. Very proud of how it turned out.
New Year, New Zine!

Everyone’s just trying to live their lives the best they can. And these motherfuckers are just wilding out, marauding, terrorizing for no fucking reason beyond “they can.” This helps nobody. This benefits zero people. This is dropping entire communities into a nightmare for sport.

I think more headlines should clarify that this preschooler is still in detention away from his parents
Liam’s mom dressed him in all those layers to keep her little boy warm and safe in this frigid weather, packed his book-bag w/ everything he’d need for a good day at school, and then our govt stole him out of their driveway. Used her little boy as bait. These people are monsters.

My take on the Jan 23 action in Minneapolis is that I don’t really care whether it’s a “true” general strike (we could argue about that all day).

What DOES matter is that it’s a bold and necessary escalation, and local labor leaders are publicly encouraging workers to join in anti-ICE resistance

We have no functional national media in the way many people still think we do, so the more regular folks we can show this stuff to, the better. Make sure your friends, family, co-workers, REALLY see what’s going on. If you still have personal Facebook, blast it with these videos. Make it inescapable
One of the things I’m really struggling with about what’s going on in Minnesota is that if you describe what’s going on in plain, factual ways to someone who’s not paying close attention you sound completely, bugfuck crazy
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

I've seen too many black and brown children handcuffed by school police, or been flipped over in their chair by school police, or been thrown to the ground and kneeled on for nothing. Five year olds in handcuffs. Children whose teachers cut off their hair. This is not new.

Let me just say, having to ask my pregnant patients who are having sudden bleeding if they’ve been at all exposed to chemical irritants/tear gas is not something I ever pictured having to do when going to nursing school.

Chicago, the temp is going to drop late tomorrow night, and we'll see wind chills of −30 °F or lower on Friday and Saturday. Check on unhoused neighbors and people without reliable heat. Make sure they know their options. If you venture out, wear your warmest coat and cover up as much as you can.

It’ll be dangerously cold this weekend in the Twin Cities. Windchills will reach -20°. With how violently ICE is grabbing people, they might not be dressed for the weather, especially if ICE keeps dumping people miles from their home or car without their phone. Frostbite hits quickly at these temps.

I hope they never get to pee anywhere as long as they live.
Border Patrol agents are very sad that everyone in Minnesota hates them.

“At each gas station where the agents stopped to use the restroom, groups of agitators appeared, yelled at them, stalked them, and even tried to prevent law enforcement vehicles from leaving…”
