Honoring Dr. Zoharah Simmons, SNCC veteran & lifelong activist.

In 1964, she joined #SNCC in Laurel, MS, building Freedom Schools & fighting segregation. Her work for Black liberation & women’s rights continues to push the #Movement Forward!!

On August 6, 1965, the Voting Rights Act became law — a victory won through SNCC’s organizing, Selma’s courage, and relentless struggle.

The fight isn’t finished. We honor the past by continuing the work.
