Yet another round of heavy showers and thunderstorms, some strong to even severe, immediately inbound into the SF Bay Area this evening. Yet more strong/damaging winds likely, plus torrential downpours & urban flooding in some areas. A brief tornado remains possible. #CAwx

A large region of showers & thunderstorms, which may be strong to severe, is swirling toward SF Bay Area from the S/SW. There are multiple areas of strong low-level storm rotation offshore (blue outline), suggestive of waterspouts that could move inland as brief tornadoes. #CAwx

PG&E’s outage in San Francisco over the weekend was unacceptable. Energy is an essential resource and utilities should work in the public interest—not to pad their bottom line by raising rates and neglecting faulty infrastructure.

One thing that really stands out about this week's California storms is the highly unusual risk of severe thunderstorms, both overnight Tue Wed and then again late Wed into Thu. Multiple low-topped supercells may generate very strong wind gusts and even a few tornadoes. #CAwx
