I've kind of slept on this channel strip. I tend to stick with an SSL when I reach for one and the UI for this guy is kind of heavy on the skeumorphic goofiness but I've been using it on overheads lately because the limiter on this is actually quite good. #music #recording #pluginalliance #amek9099

Maritime Pilot hangs at Obriens last night. Good times.

Wrongo is a band only in theory, and it's really more or less three friends that have played a million shows together saying "it's be weird to see what would happen if we made an album together..."

This is what happened and it was a lot of fun.

We've had a feral living in the lot behind our house for years. It's taken a few months to get this far but one day there will be pets I hope.

Back in 2012 I was in a band called Maritime Pilot and we made this DIY three song EP. Recently, while transferring stuff to a new drive I discovered the old files were basically unusable.I decided to knock out a quick remix and threw it on our old Bandcamp (maritimepilot.bandcamp.com)

My goal for the new year is to commit to writing new music and having at least an EP to release in 2025. When inspiration isn't striking I experiment, and decided that using the Kiive Audio Complexx as a parallel compressor on close drum mics is kind of awesome.

Home recording problems: when you don't have a massive room for room mics on drums this is about the best stand in I've ever used. It's crazy how good some of this stuff is these days...15 year old me with a 4 track would have been so stoked.

One of the few things I held on to on CD. For obvious reasons.
