I don't believe you.

You call yourself a photographer and post something this obviously fake?

It would be if it were real.

Sorry man.

It is a sign of how dire the situation is that at the "not believe anything I had to say" part I thought this was going to be about the health secretary in my nation.

Exceptions to freedom of speech must be chosen carefully.

All the kid said (that we know about) was "I support ICE".

You don't need to be polite to him, but if you want to justify the violence you need to do more than brandish the word 'fascist'.

The same goes for the word 'F4scist'.

Thereby giving Richard Spencer the martyr cred he needed to build his career as a right-wing grifter.

Look, the kid was begging to get punched, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing it happened.

It's deeply embarrassing to us in the USA, but I (perhaps overoptimistic) take some amount of comfort from the fact that Europe picked up the slack when we defaulted on our responsibility to the world.

Senators Hate This!"

From the article “I am convinced that a good horse racing game about actual horses could do just as well if it was implemented just as well.”

I know it isn't the point she is trying to make, but...well I just don't think actual horses would have the same appeal.

And if they do I DON'T want to know

A medicine factory that outputs a mixture of 10% medicine and 90% poison isn't making medicine.

Please stop asking us to buy the mix and filter out the poison ourselves. Especially since we already know how to make the real stuff without a chatbot.

Frankly, @masnick.com has been kinda disappointing in the genAI discussion because he often does have good insightful commentary on a lot of things. (Section 230, tech grifters, broadband access for poor people, etc.)

I don't know why he is so lenient on the AI industry.

I don't get this line of argument.

If my employment isn't in competition with immigrants, I should be empathetic to the people who are in competition.

The immigrants themselves? Nope. They don't get consideration.

I mean, the "Screw you, I've got mine" crew is at least consistent.

How bad does an information technology need to be before doctors say "Google your symptoms. It will be better that way "?

"Subtext? What's that?

It sounds like a made-up word"
- The editors at The Post apparently.

As someone pointed out, the use of pen-names for different sub-genres is common in Romance.

It's still possible she is fleeing negative reviews, but we should acknowledge that there is a POSSIBLE innocent explanation on that part of her scheme.

bsky.app/profile/crob...
To be fair, this is VERY common in the romance world. Authors often use different names for different types of romance. Which is what the author in this article does. She's committing a lot of sins here, but that ain't one of 'em.

Fortunately, privately issued currency is something with a fair amount of statutory and judicial law around.

There are a LOT of barriers to companies paying in that kind of scrip.

They may want to make it happen, but it can't happen soon and the crypto fans will probably not be in power that long.

Sigh, kids these days.

And here I was thinking that bronie was the word for grown men who like My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

I just can't keep up with the lingo anymore.

I can see it now.

"Will red districts electing Democrats cause a backlash in the 2026 midterm elections? We don't have answers, but we do have a lot of leading questions!"
February 8, 2026 at 4:39 PM
I get the sentiment, but I would try to avoid that phrasing.

We don't want to be like the woman who said of Trump "He isn't hurting the people he is supposed to be hurting."

I agree though that justice is more important than policy.

Hey! As a bad music enjoyer I resent being compared to MAGA.
