If you have to give someone a lift to a dentist's appointment in Colwyn Bay, it'd be rude not to stop at @bodnantgardennt on the way home. Even if just for a turn around the splendid winter garden and snow capped mountain scenery.

How it started versus how it ended up.

First day back and a soaking in the afternoon after a lovely crisp bright snowy start.

Same as it ever was.

Greetings from Rhewpert the snowman.

Cyfarchion gan Rhewpert y dyn eira.

Well, it's rare enough I have to take a day off for poor weather, let alone because the snow and ice are too severe!

Returning to Dolgellau by the light of the Wolf Supermoon, named after noted 60s troubadour Wolf Supermoon.

This was after a day trip to Liverpool to see the inestimable wonder that is Izzie and her very tall, handsome partner, over on a jaunt from Helsinki.

Finished the Shakespeare's Flowers jigsaw we bought from Browsers Bookshop in Porthmadog. it was most enjoyable. I can heartily recommend both the jigsaw and the bookshop!

Dolgellau was looking very seasonal on a wander this afternoon.

Well, that is, in a very real sense, curtains for 2025. A new pair of made to measure curtains for the living room, given as a Christmas present. They're very warm & cosy.

It's not been an easy year, but it's been a pretty good year. I'm grateful for everything we have. #happynewyear #newyearseve

A bracing walk along the promenade, in the daytime today.

I am in the East.

Not that you'd know, it being night and all. Only, the moon is inland.

The waves are reflecting the lights of the promenade, and you can see the lights of the Sheringham Shoal wind farm out to sea.

It was lovely and fresh, and great to stretch my legs after a day of driving.

Well, that's a wrap gardening (for other people) for the year! It ended up and alright day after the rain had a massive tantrum and then skulked off and left me to it.

When you think you can't get any more closely supervised, you get TWO robins. They seemed to tolerate each other, so maybe family, or loves.

Well, the nice weather didn't last long. Although one of the lovely things about the area is that, even when the weather's terrible, the scenery is still beautiful.

A beautiful cold, crisp day today. Just like it's supposed to be. I wasn't doing anything interesting or photogenic today, but the blue sky was lovely.

When I got home, the clouds were settling down like a duvet over the valley.

This afternoon was far nicer than forecast or anticipated. Cadair Idris even made an appearance through the low, misty clouds.

This morning was rotten though, there's my face to prove it.
