If POTUS views congressional appropriations as non-binding & acts as if he can do what he wants with the money, there is no reason for Democrats to agree to anything. They would be merely contributing to Trump tyranny.Fuck the GOP. They broke this. Have them let us know when they’ve fixed it.

It is not clear that Mr. Trump’s image can be featured on a coin. An 1866 law enshrined a tradition that only deceased people could appear on U.S. currency to avoid the appearance that America was a monarchy. Trump admin is planning to do it anyway.

Students in my Native American survey? Only 5 of 33 said they had read it an an earlier period in their education from top to bottom. Most had been given excerpts to read, but nothing more.

I’m NOT blaming students, but the educational system has effed things up entirely.

It’s pretty clear that creating an educational system in NY in which students can go from pre-k through College without reading the Constitution in its entirety is a stupid system that helps explain the lack of outrage at what the Trumpzis are doing. Constitutional illiteracy is killing epidemic.

Every time a Democrat does a fact check and says, "Undocumented immigrants don't get health coverage" they are privileging the lie and letting Republicans frame the debate around only certain people deserving healthcare. A basic talking point for Dems should be that *everyone* deserves healthcare.

The Trump administration has asked 9 colleges to pledge support to Trump’s right-wing agenda to get priority access to federal funds.

The schools are the Arizona, Brown, Dartmouth, MIT, U Penn, USC, Texas, Vanderbilt, and UVA.

Any school that agrees to this blackmail should be ashamed.

The last time I saw my mom and we sat together at the board and care facility where she stayed in California, we watched the Jane Goodall documentary. It was beautiful. Important.

Over the last three and a half weeks, they both have died. I find myself feeling the weight of this heavy autumn.
