Procedural question here, while Red and Blue states gaining seats fight this out, what happens if states LOSING seats actually follow the law and don’t redistrict until they would otherwise do so after the mid-terms? Wouldn’t this bump the number of seats past the present statutory maximum?

If you know, you know.

Not even bothering to hide it.
It doesn’t get more corrupt than this. Trump pardoned a tax cheat after his mom attended a $1 million dinner and helped push a smear campaign against Biden. This is pay-to-play at its dirtiest.

If you’re going to harass a grocery cashier over a 35 cent bag charge, I get to ask what rock you crawled out from under. It’s been the law in the province for over a decade. Get over it.

There was an easier way to introduce adamantium into the #mcu. “We’ve harnessed the tensile strength of a toddler’s fingernails”. Every parent, grandparent, aunt and uncle, just thinks, “that checks” and moves along.

Took a break from the annexation beat to revise a piece I wrote on Medium last year that was read by about two people.

If you go further down this article, you’ll see perennial bad penny Rob Anders is part of this BS delegation. Shouldn’t be a surprise. As a young MP in the then Canadian Alliance, he was instrumental in bringing the Leadership Institute to train staff how to campaign.

The administration is pursuing annexation because they think it’s no more complicated than a corporate merger.

Wrong. Oh so very wrong. While Anglophone Canada has a very Americanized political culture, one province has stood athrwart history and yelled “Stop!”

Nice to see the Liberal Party return to the old strategy of finding successful ex-pats to lead the party. It worked all of once, with Pearson (I know, technically, a UN ambassador is not an ex-pat), and got them a minority government. Ignatieff … let’s not talk about that.

Considering he turned off Ukraine’s access at the beginning of the war, every government snookered into doing business with Starlink should be tearing up those contracts even if it means paying penalties. Better to pay twice for reliable service than once for whatever Elon’s providing.

You paid six figures for a truck that can’t do truck things.

That was a choice.

For half, you could buy a truck that does truck things and do something like donate to a food bank with the difference. You’d be a hero.

You chose Elon’s mobile dumpster instead.

Live with it and its consequences.

Zelensky’s last visit to a Trump White House set the dominoes in motion for Trump’s first impeachment. Back then, he promised to defend Ukraine in return for evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the Bidens. Now he just wants Ukraine’s natural resources so he can redistribute them to his broligarchs.

Luck? They worked pretty hard to get their agent in place. Luck had nothing to do with it.
After crippling the FBI, the Trump administration is now going after the CIA.

Our intelligence agencies are being gutted and replaced with political hacks and Trump loyalists who will follow his orders without question.

Russia and China can’t believe their luck.

Markets thrive on certainty. This will he or won’t he start a trade war will wreak as much havoc on our economy as an actual trade war, albeit slower.
I think the worst thing Canada can do right now is be complacent. Continue to plan for the worst case scenario. Remove interprovincial trade barriers. Broaden our export markets. Support Canadian business and each other. LFG.
We have 30 days, should we calm down, or not?
I'm ready to be livid for the foreseeable future.
