The first global comparison of glacier mass change reveals a global loss of 273 billion tonnes per year, an amount equivalent to what the entire human population on Earth drinks in 30 years. 🧪

Cool to see that our HBV model software now has been used to simulate runoff on all continents 😀 tc.copernicus.org/articles/19/...

And another proof that HBV can do a good job even with a relatively small amount of observed data 😉

With already green vegetation in the mountains, it is time to look back at the past winter. It was another year in a row with poor snow conditions in Czechia. Luckily, it did not affect our Winter school of snow hydrology that we organised for @sciencecharles.bsky.social and CULS students.
