we went for our walk at lunchtime in case the weather is shit later this afternoon … and it took us 15 minutes to walk half of inglis place because we kept meeting people i know … cocoa made 7 new friends today.

i just saw a post where stfx is saying they’ll let people know if the weather affects x ring on wednesday.
in my day (and @velvetcyclone.bsky.social‘s) x ring was just for the recipients. it was a ceremony and then a campus-wide party. you just had to get to the chapel.

so, amazon now ships things without any wrapping? i ordered grippy socks for one of my elves for elders gifts (i couldn’t find any locally) and they just came in their clear plastic bag with a label slapped on.

whatever is going on in enfield, the rcmp are not fucking around. i was on the old road and saw a tactical vehicle on its way by the big stop … traffic was stopped, so i got on the highway and saw 6 black suvs with lights and sirens heading there southbound.

i had three absolutely lovely out of the blue messages from clients yesterday. i'm honestly so lucky to work with such fabulous people.
and, after a tough couple of years, mentally and emotionally, it's a relief to feel like i'm finding my groove again ... professionally and personally.

i decorated the tree yesterday and had the most vivid and random memory of the margarine tub we used to use to hold the ornament hooks when i was growing up.

okay ... big detailed project is done and triple checked, and now off to my client to double check my checking, and we will meet tomorrow to double check her double checking of my triple checking.
