It's absolutely hilarious that the county endorsements literally had zero impact whatsoever on the primary. We are going to have to completely relearn NJ politics from the ground up. They turned my state normal. We're so boring now.
Despite its smallish size, New Jersey is no stranger to strong local political divides - especially in primaries. Though the infamous County Line ballot was struck down in 2024, Tuesday's results showed some regional splits are still kicking. Especially if you're Stephen Sweeney:

It’s time for Congress to reign in the Mad King. These tariffs haven’t even hit for real and the world is off the rails.
Politically, it’s helpful to Dems, but this is why I’m not a good politician b/c I care too deeply about the harm on all people, even on those that hate my very existence.

In case you didn’t know - the NJ Dem political machine filed paperwork over the weekend to get 6 of our assembly candidate challengers thrown off the ballot. They are scared what happens when voters have choices in a primary. We are in court today fighting for the public to have options.

The rollback of DEI is really wild to me. All these bigs orgs put so much energy into this stuff and now they're just folding instantly without the slightest resistance. It just shows that it was all fake. It wasn't a reflection of values at all if they just retreat immediately.
