At some point, for the love of God, will someone ANYONE at long last take the council funding crisis seriously?!?

Because THIS is what will break down a society, not some poor soul escaping incredible dangers, arriving on our shores.

It's real, and it's mind-blowing.

A complete lack of awareness and a national embarrassment.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.

As a rare treat I upgrade to a First Class ticket back to Sheffield only to subjected to a drunken bore trying to impress a couple of American tourists. That’ll teach me, I should know my place by now. Back to Standard Class next time.

Why do people leave X saying they hate it then take screenshots of posts from the dark side and post them here ? I’m beginning to have my doubts they have actually left it !

When we talk about nothing working in the UK anymore the media report it as public services don’t work. I disagree it is the private sector. Just spent 2 wasted days in London waiting for a promised and paid for furniture delivery that has failed to arrive with no word from the company.

That’s 3 times Bellingham has lost the ball and not fought to get it back quickly. Didn’t see that from Rogers in the first half.

Crikey isn’t Mason an annoying little man. I really don’t care about the tittle tattle he unearths or searches out apparently to give me an impartial report. Please don’t tell me what I should and should not care about, Mr Mason.

If the reporters at the BBC,Times,Guardian and Bloomberg were to just tell who their ‘sources’ were then we’d all be better informed.

Police and Crime Commissioners to be scrapped in England and Wales. A good move, never understood their role and couldn’t name one.

Happy 80th Birthday to Neil Young. After The Goldrush was one of the first albums I bought and I still listen to it today. Not a bad track on it and up there with my favourite records of all time.

Perhaps the BBC news reporters could tell us who was the last popular Prime Minister. Sunak,Truss,Johnson May,Cameron,Brown, Blair,Major,Thatcher Callaghan,Wilson,Heath ?? Which one ?

Here’s a suggestion for Ministers and their advisors. Stop talking to the Press and the Westminster Lobby and get on with the day job.

Name me a Prime Minister or Leader that hasn’t been under pressure when a Budget proves unpopular or local elections go poorly. Media puffing it all up again as usual. But then I guess they’ve got to fill pages and airtime. All pretty pathetic really.

What is it about the political classes, politicians and MP’s that they would rather play power games creating work for the media than getting on and running and improving the country which what they tell us is their priority ?

What will introducing AI into the prisoner release scheme mean in reality ? I can just imagine a Governor going to Grok and asking if he can release Norman Stanley Fletcher tomorrow morning.

Driving in Sheffield and Chesterfield today you can’t help noticing how sad, torn, bedraggled and dirty the flags strung from lampposts have become. Another couple of weeks and they will be collecting on verges and kerbsides along with the McDonalds cups and other detritus tossed from car windows

'They were those like Sir Oswald Mosley who were fascinated by the spectacle of brutal power. They would like to use it themselves. They grovelled to Nazi dictatorship in order that they could make people in their turn grovel to them'

Conservative Shadow Culture Secretary Nigel Huddleston tells GB News that the BBC should "grovel" to Trump.

Amazing how many British 'patriots' are spending their time telling our national broadcaster to prostrate itself before a hostile foreign leader

If we're talking about bias, why do BBC politics programmes, from Politics Live to the Laura Kuennsberg Show, still always begin with a look at the newspaper front pages, which are overwhelmingly biased in one direction. Helps frame the entire news agenda and debate in their favour

At least us Members of the National Trust get to elect the Trustees and so far have been successful in keeping out the undesirables with an agenda. Perhaps that should be the model for the BBC then the undesirables with an agenda could not be appointed by politicians with the same agenda.
