Got a press release in from an independent who says they are standing in the Dublin Central by-election. Among their "achievements" is their involvement in Repeal The 9th Amendment. Now, unless I missed something, I'm pretty sure non-Irish citizens still have the right to vote..

Reviewing It Was Just An Accident for the paper this week instead of Wicked because I'm such an advocate for world cinema

Perfectly normal and natural for Facebook to be promoting something pro-Confederacy in 2025, no sign of an ideological bias here. I never like or comment on Facebook, but this is the shit being pushed into my feed?

Starting to tighten up my year-end 10, and can confirm that 28 Years Later, One Battle After Another and Materalists are out of the 10. The most stressful time of the year

Touched upon it in an article last week, but the members of the Irish left who use Bluesky are quite different to the members of the Irish left who use Twitter. Have heard arguments that Twitter is still an effective tool for TDs and councillors but is it worth the cost of eroding public discourse?

Mused on the role a fragmented social media played in the presidential election. The vibes on here compared to Twitter for the general election last year and the presidential election were night and day. Back in 2018, everyone was basically under the same roof on social media, it has now fragmented.

Please enjoy this video of me moaning at a Wesley Sneijder Dutch jersey from the 2010 World Cup. My balon d'or winner, I don't care what the history books say

Was a bit worried that Turnstile would lose their edge playing in a big arena. I needn't had worried, the place was hopping from start to finish

Just paid the National Football Museum a visit in Manchester. Sign of a good tour is coming out with trivia you didn't have before and certainly got that. I visited it as a kid when it was at Deepdale, back then it had Maradona's Hand Of God shirt as the big attraction
