I had a running bit on Twitter where I talked about how much I hate the snare drum on Teenage Dirtbag and I will repeat it here. It sounds terrible and ruins the song! PANG! PANG! DONG!
Last few weeks up here in Dublin have been fantastic for me as a native Galwegian. A lot of "yeah, this is what winter 2015 was like" and "this is an average January" remarks from me
Listen, if I wanted to exist in a constant pounding downpour without end, I’d live in Galway.
Ireland, Day 1056 of The Rain. Everything is saturated to the grey of the sky. Moss covers every surface. The outdoors sounds like constant static. The entire staff of Met Éireann is on mental health leave. I’ve forgotten what dry clothes feel like.

It is still a yellow weather alert.

It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley is a half-baked tribute to a great
Jeff Buckley is the latest rock icon to get the documentary treatment; it's a shame the film itself is half-baked, per our review

This is exactly the company the co-owner of my football club should be keeping. Certainly doesn't go against the club's ethos in any shape or form and isn't a spit in the face of the immigrants who have helped build the club over the years🙄

Just filed my review for Crime 101, where I compare it to a bowl of mac and cheese after a long day, and it has the soul of a Film4 hotel room movie. They said it couldn't be done

He thinks population rose 12 million snce 2020!

11 million people born abroad; this was 9.5 million in 2020, so that is up 1.5 million (not 12 million) but rose 7 million in 30 years from 4m before 1997

It's very telling that FF/FG were very happy to blame the Greens for everything in the last coalition (the bike shed and power plant closures were signed off on by FG ministers!) and are doing everything now to torpedo anything vaguely progressive on environmental issues

It is never a bad day to watch a Jack Lemmon movie (the last movie there, Missing, is the most leftist thing a major Hollywood studio put out until OBAA. Well worth tracking down!)

Had a dream last night that we lost the World Cup play off against Czechia and everyone was crying, I was happy because it meant we didn't have to make a moral decision about playing at the World Cup in America! That's where my mind is at these days
