Not only have editors prevented me from showing my ass in public, so has hiring sensitivity readers. I’m a big fan of both. Having someone be honest with you while also keeping your best interests at heart is something to be valued not dismissed

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Artist isn't a real job, it's just a glorified hobby, we're blessed just to do it, drawing is its own reward, we should be grateful to have these dead-eyed tech bros scraping and stealing our work to make something real and useful
