Corner curb extensions are getting put in at a couple intersections on the west side of Broughton leading to the new elementary school
The crosswalk at Hastings still seems unnecessarily long - maybe to leave room for the planned bike path between Hastings and the seawall

The ambition is less than a mundane small city station like Okayama or a deep suburban transfer station like Kashiwa
There's nothing flashy about these stations, just frequent EMUs stopping at normal platforms and flyovers to avoid conflicts with other services
They even run locals and rapids

What I mean is that Toronto has a solid thru-running central trunk. It has mostly dealt with core freight conflicts. Mostly has a comprehensive regional network to work with. It just needs to hang the wires, buy the EMUs, raise the platforms, add some extra tracks, grade separations and run trains
I think Toronto regional transit planning is really conceptually quite easy! improve the infrastructure, spam more trains, improve the infrastructure, spam more trains. Like there's not huge trade offs or mega projects you just gotta figure out how to do the basic stuff.

It looks like there's room for 6 to 8 additional tracks under Granville Square (in addition to SkyTrain and WCE)
The WCE and some other tracks look like they could make it to underneath Cordova and Howe, where some could presumable continue to Thurlow before Waterfront Road blocks the way

If we're improving the BC Rail corridor for passengers, there are a few curves in Paradise Valley and near Daisy Lake that could be straightened
The Cheakamus Canyon remains slow and windy, but above and below the canyon can have minimum curve radius of at least a few hundred metres with some work
