@hedyfry.bsky.social You just posted again on X. Is there a specific reason you refuse to stop using a website that creates and distributes CSAM and non-consensual porn?

You're not even using it for crucial governmental communications, you're wishing people happy birthday. On the CSAM site.

Watch until 0:12 left. You've never seen something this amazing in a hockey game before. Sid needs to bring some of this magic to games (he does things like this in practices).

It should be.

And you can write the BCUC a letter explaining why you think this is the case. Here's what I wrote them.

Very niche BC content: If you are in a building that has water and/or heat provided/metered by Enerpro, the BC Utilities Commission is currently reviewing whether Enerpro should be considered a public utility.

The data is in: bike infrastructure follows the logic of induced demand just as car infrastructure does. If you build it, they will come. 🚲🚲🚲
(Also fun to see a graphic from @thebikinglawyer.bsky.social in a US-based blog discussing a UK-based study.)

Why doesn't Chicago (the musical) have an extended universe? The show has a full cast of colourful characters, many of whom could have done so much after the end of the show.

But now "AI" can tell you how to do it (rather than, you know, making it easy in the first place)

Same as it ever was. I wrote my thesis in 2003 in Word (some 300+ pages). Want to reference both the caption and number of a table or figure? You need to manually create a field encompassing both and then use a cross-reference to that field.

I posit that the Gell-Mann amnesia effect applies to ChatGPT and other LLMs. Ask ChatGPT a question about a topic where you are an expert, and you'll find yourself laughing at the obvious inaccuracies. But ask about something you know little about, and you'll nod at the answer and say, sounds right.

I'm glad you clarified the concept 😬

The soft plastics here get sent to a local company, Merlin Plastics, which pelletizes them and sells the pellets to industry.

I looked hard for a primary source but all I'm finding are secondaries. At any rate, the soft plastics apparently get sent to a local company, Merlin Plastics, which pelletizes it and then sells the pellets.

We're fortunate enough to be able to walk across the street to the LD, but it's amazing how much soft plastic we accumulate. And the LD bin is never big enough.
