Love LCFC, etymology and word morphology; hate racists, fascists and anyone who thinks only about themself. A real socialist; not a pretend one!
Excuse me - better rights at work still does not mean that they will be anywhere near equitable!

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

Just a jaw-dropping paragraph in Trevor Phillips's column for The Times.

This is a policy that, by his own account, has left parents of a particular race too frightened to walk their children to school.

And that's the example he chooses of the "vigour" we "need".

The government, like all tory ones, wants to tackle benefit fraud. Let's forget the rich bastards fleecing the rest and punish those who can least afford it and who take substantially less than the rich. 30p was right, for the first time ever, dog whistles for the uncaring in society. Not my party!

I have occasion to watch Russian TV. Bondarchuk appears on there in support of the army and, either by silence or otherwise, therefore supports the killing of other humans. Woody Allen is not naive and his support of Bondarchuk is implicitly in support of Russia.

Isn't it informative that the BBC refers to Gaza as the Hamas- run region but omits saying that the air strikes are being done by a fascist-run Zionist Israel?

Wes Streeting parading his stupidity like a peacock. We should trust a justice system that so often has proved itself incompetent over decades rather than expert-driven hard facts? That he has any power at all defies any reason.

Sky sports proudly advertising new series on how they stole darts from the poor like they did football. The spirit of Murdoch survives!

Sky sports promoting new series crowing how they stole darts from the poor just like they did with football. The spirit of Murdoch passeth all understanding.

A new ad for Barclaycard featuring the song Africa by Toto - given Barclays chequered record with apartheid South Africa this is tone deafness in the extreme!

How the fuck do we live in a world where the media outrage over one guy being shot is now eleventy-billion times greater than the outrage over fifty thousand children being bombed to smithereens?
