ya know, if you're unwilling to shoot a rabid dog you are giving it permission to do what it will, not only to yourself but to anyone else it encounters.

we don't shoot the rabid dog just to shoot something, we shoot it to save others.

what do we tell our grandchildren? that we were unwilling?

Emily Feiner, a retired social worker and mother of two, posed no threat whatsoever. Ms. Feiner politely asked her congressman — Rep. Mike Lawler — what his red line was to finally, vocally oppose the lawless Trump regime. Lawler refused to answer the question. When Ms. Feiner called out for him…
Sunday night’s town hall in Somers, New York was yet another horrifying example of the brutal suppression of free speech in America under Trump.

Constituent Emily Feiner courageously stood up and quite courteously asked Republican Rep. Mike Lawler a simple question about upholding the…

Reading Epictetus' The Enchiridion and trying to wrap my head around it. He is saying the same thing over and over and over.

You will suffer if you attach desire to anything.

You will suffer if you suffer.

Suffer and don't whine about it.

That's all.

Experimenting with hors deuvres. Homemade wheat toast with melted cheese, candied jalapeños and honey-mustard sauce. Very nice!

Very hot!

Free. I'm presenting part of it. I'll drink a beer for you if you watch it. What's not to like?

Played Vaesen yesterday for the first time. Others in the game were in Australia, England, Boston and I in Texas.

How cool is it that we could do that?

If you like detective games with eldritch horror overtones, set in Sweden and with easy mechanics, give Vaesen a try.

I did not learn my morals in a church; if I had I would have none. I learned from watching others try and fail and try again. I learned from books and from loss.

Do what you can, where, when and how you can. And remember:

You know what I hate most about that stupid fucker essentially giving permission to all the haters to do whatever they want? I am so tempted to accept that permission for myself, too, and to accept the permission to be ugly to ugly people.

Does that make sense?

Am new to RPG and am playing Forbidden Lands via PbP. Looking forward to doing the same with Vaesen. If anything, I think it'll be even better than FL when playing via posts.

We keep asking: why would Americans elect a career criminal?

The most obvious answer is: because when the top person in government & the justice department has no moral compunction, this allows all the people who already WANTED to be lawless & immoral to do as many bad things as they want. 🧵
