I'm not exactly sure how active I'll be on here, but considering half the people I followed on the other platform are exclusively here now, figured I might as well hop on!
Had a wonderful time as a recent guest on the "Thanks for Visiting!" podcast. We discussed my novel "Turning Corners", discipline vs. craft, being an INFJ, and much more. A thoughtful 1-hour discussion with two great hosts. Find it wherever you listen to your podcasts. 🙂

Pretty cool seeing my novel as part of a silent auction gift at a gala event last night. We had a blast!

My arms also do this if there are crackers present
Each octopus arm is so packed with neurons it can make decisions independently from the central brain, and sometimes steal food from other arms.

Also me: [never packs my lunch for work and instead eats out all the time]

The audiobook of Turning Corners is now live on Audible! I'm so proud of the actors who I worked with on this project (plus, I had a blast recording some of it myself!). A hopefully breezy 6 hours :)

So based on Mike's Annual Oscar Contest (15ish people), the category that's the most up for grabs is Original Screenplay (Anora/Brutalist/Real Pain evenly split). Moore outweighs Madison, Brody outweighs Chalamet. Picture leans Anora with a few sleepers.

The "sweet spot" thing is incredible, presenting 60 hour weeks as a compromise position, where one plausible alternative is continuous work without sleep.
If "60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity," that's only because the tech workers who can put in all those hours at the office have offloaded all their caregiving responsibilities onto others more vulnerable than them.

The tech giant’s co-founder said that if employees worked harder and were in the office more, the company could reach an artificial general intelligence breakthrough.

Mike has terrible taste in soup but he’s a pretty damn good writer. I had the good fortune of reading an early copy and this is a fun, engaging, twisty little drama that moves quick but still leaves quite the impact.
My fiction novel Turning Corners is officially live on Amazon Kindle! Hardcover and paperback to follow in a couple of days. Audiobook (partly narrated by yours truly) by end of February. I'm so excited to finally release this project to the world. I hope you enjoy! www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVQ7H6Z...
