Love the what-have-you-done-for-us-lately attitude toward the Kennedys in these posts…I guess because the two members of the family shot in public (one of whom is the very reason for the Kennedy Center) died more than fifty years ago.

It may be that the depths here just aren’t that deep. She’s loud MAGA in the shallow end. Then she’s shocked—SHOCKED!—at how mean these people can be. So MTG wants to find a pool to paddle in where most of her little bigotries and prejudices will still float while she bangs on about ‘Murica.

None. But as someone who drove a used Pinto for a time, I can say that people looked at me like I was crazy when I rolled up in that ride. There was at least some broad awareness, and the line was discontinued.

Indeed, the idea that those who voted for the person who didn't prevail in election needed to "do something" was not a thing...until Donald Trump lost in 2020. And we saw how that turned out. Congratulations to USA Today for parlaying its bland inoffensiveness into corrosive cynicism.

This reminds me of how in the 19th century, getting “Burked” meant being held down and suffocated after the body-snatchers, Burke and Hare, who figured out they could make more merchandise that way. Turns out it produced fresher product and fewer questions.
