Simmons is a true progressive, but we have lots of those. Schakowsky is a true progressive. So is Daniel Biss. I'm sure Kat Abu is one as well.
The difference is, Simmons is also an ACCOMPLISHED LEGISLATOR, and he busts his ass to achieve those accomplishments. You WANT that in a House candidate.
