What's hurting my brain (but what will probably be a good thing in the long run) is that these assholes could be quietly racist, quietly fascist, and make secret moves to ruin everything, but they'd rather make a big messy toilet splash with memes and insults. Hearts and minds it is not.

Invisible friends can keep a nice thought tomorrow as I head into hosting Thanksgiving, traditionally my drunkest holiday (up until four years ago).
I'm fine and it won't be a huge struggle, but there is a slight grit-your-teeth aspect to the day for me.
