Eerie hearing that Adriana Smith’s baby was born. The state used her as an experiment. And it’s not lost on me that there’s a long history of using Black women for medical experimentation no matter the harm/lack of consent (origins of gynecology, Henrietta Lacks, etc.) Another fucking nightmare.
