The Animation Guild has a tentative agreement with the AMPTP- AAA WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!! in order to save myself some time explaining what a ratification vote is/does, I made a complicated and kind of ugly flow chart, to hopefully make things less complicated and ugly for the average person.

This is key: a likely “AI in animation” scenario would be one of animators forced to fix sloppy AI animation, instead of simply hiring them to do a better job from the start. Less pay, less staff, less time, a stack of awful AI slop to fix.

Sometimes I see ppl outside the field comparing shows animation and I wish I could go on an hour rant on how the end product is SO DEPENDENT on a pipeline, and sometimes crappy pipelines are forced upon you to by studios, sometimes you’re reinventing one through trial and error..

I know me, it’s not gonna beat Sonic Movie 3 cuz I’m gonna be yelling about Shadow, BUT, easily 2nd fave movie this year.
I could NOT believe how gorgeous it is, how it handles a simple premise, but has so much density with themes of love, friendship, family, care for the moment, nature & life 🥲
