To be clear, there are no data that provide a link between short-term use of Tylenol during pregnancy and autism. In fact, one of the best prospective studies w/ sibling controls, if anything, pointed to a protective effect for use less than 7 days

Writing is at its most powerful when it makes you feel less alone. This beautiful booo from Emma Heming Willis on her marriage to Bruce Willis and experience navigating dementia did just that. A beautiful read.

In “The Unexpected Journey,” she delivers a candid look at Bruce Willis’s struggle with dementia and offers a road map for others.

That’s exactly why EASD wrote the guidelines.

That's one of the answers...and the doctor needs to know about it.

It's that time again when LinkedIn tells everyone to wish me a happy work anniversary even though I've been a #freelancer since 2012 and have no idea what date or gig they're referring to...Then I have to decide whether to explain that to well-wishers or just say "thanks." 😏

Just learned that the federal form for every potential gun purchaser asks “Have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective...?" Evidently "a mental defective" is a legal term, dating back to 1993. Wow. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
DOJ discusses a potential ban on transgender people owning firearms
People familiar with the discussions say they are in the early stages and any ban is far from being implemented.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Kennedy demands doctors get more nutrition training while 18.8 million Americans live in food deserts and insurance generally doesn’t cover dietitian visits.

Classic misdirection: blame physicians for systemic failures they can’t solve.

Doctors say Kennedy’s push for nutrition education in medicine is a good idea — in theory
Some doctors say counseling patients about nutrition may not always be practical and doesn’t address systemic barriers to healthy eating.

Public health is under assault. The purge of CDC leadership, people with decades of experience guiding the nation’s response to health threats, dismantles the very programs and direction that keep Americans safe from infectious diseases, chronic illness, injuries, and violence.

Yes, although there are also problems with the term "ME." And this isn't just about ME, but also POTS, MCAS, EDS, FM, etc. Not all have ME although some do, many of them not given that diagnosis. The diagnostic imprecision / overlap is part of the problem.

"We’re all in favor of a gold standard for science. But it’s misleading, & even a little insulting, to say that somehow NIH didn’t already support that. Everything that NIH stands for is rigor in sci...There’s some implication here that NIH has been systematically sloppy. I reject that conclusion."🛟

Another issue is that not everyone with post-infectious illness has PEM/ME, although they are a large subset. But those who primarily have POTS don’t necessarily have PEM and can benefit from exercise. As I said, it’s not simple.

Yes, but where would the clinicians come from?
