for all the nonsense going on (again) I do want to say, I see so much kindness from so many of you, especially mutuals/friends/those with platforms, and it has been very reassuring. I'm so sorry you have to see it all by proxy, but the kind words and actions do not go unnoticed

I should make a post here, so here we go.
In 1954, the US Navy put out a request for a new fighter aircraft (Outline Specification 130). Despite popular beliefs, this was in fact not a request for a supersonic aircraft at all. It was specified that the maximum speed DOES NOT exceed Mach 1
