It’s because of voter apathy. Millions of people didn’t vote. Fewer people voted in those elections. Fewer people actually voted for Trump. It’s because they realised the two are exactly the same.
To those still wondering why we lost a close election and what group Dems might have reached better, I say this: All this handwringing ignores the fact that more people voted for the convicted felon, sexual assaulter and insurrectionist.
