I got back into reading this past year; my main goal was to reconnect with my "old self" and get off that damn phone, which was accomplished. but the biggest change has actually been that reading incredible stories about terrible people with spectacular failures gave me a lot of confidence. :)

i reviewed my endless new years resolutions from the beginning of the year and the only ones i really really stuck to were: not buying anything at all from amazon and reading a book a month. i've also kept up with my no-social-media on my daily phone journey.

i've never used chatgpt before and a coworker was telling me about all the "signs" that someone's using it, including the em dash. while they were speaking, i found every single "sign" except emojis in the email i was currently writing. T.T
Reminding my committee that I have always been a fan of the em dash and I’m not using ChatGPT! Em dash fans rise up!
