Gutting Texas’s HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) program and removing women and minorities from the program is abhorrent. Greg Abbott and Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s policies are hurting small BUSINESS owners across the State. #txlege

The ACIP meeting today was a disgrace. What a bunch of nincompoops. Making things up, can't even figure out what they're voting on. It's a clown show. Except it isn't funny. Lives are at stake and the worst people are in charge.

The priest at a Catholic church in Dedham defended his parish’s decision to replace nativity figurines of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph with a sign reading “ICE was here,” saying the gospel is clear about treating immigrants with respect. trib.al/Ob5ptDw

Me, unprompted, telling them how it’s NovoNordisk’s fault and their issues with device supply chain

Friendly reminder that on top of everything else, SpotShotter tech doesn’t even do what it claims it does.

It’s inaccurate, easily misled by errant noises, and very expensive.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has proposed disastrous cuts to our city's libraries while setting aside $5M for a ShotSpotter replacement. As library associate Sara Heymann told me, “Libraries embody everything we need to fight back against fascism.” My piece on what’s at stake and how to fight back:
You Can’t Fight Fascism While Defunding Libraries
“Libraries embody everything that we need right now to fight back against fascism," says Sara Heymann.

“Narcan use is a major public health concern for Americans, who are often left watching helplessly as loved ones succumb to the resuscitating effects of emergency care,” said FDA Commissioner Martin A. Makary, who called the drug an essential intervention in the global fight against harm reduction.

“Have testing accommodations become so broadly applied that academic rigor is being lost?” is a question for educational psychology and collegiate pedagogy experts, not some nameless undergrad with a bitchy anecdote about their roommate.
Even by the standards of The Atlantic, this is an extraordinarily weak evidence base for an article.

Data from a tiny handful of schools that isn't measuring the variable at issue and a few thin, secondhand anecdotes.
