We analyzed 3,000 AI images to see how image generators visualize different cultures. Again and again, we saw AI reduce the world to stereotypes. For example, 99 out of 100 AI image results for “a Mexican person” featured a sombrero, and “an Indian person” is usually an old man with a beard
