This is true in so many ways. I was talking to a very connected friend yesterday from another city who had no idea that, here in NYC, ICE is routinely running through neighborhoods and grabbing folx. The mediated blinders are real and real harmful

More or less than the Instagram UX? Last year, I learned that the IG logo is also a dropdown which allows you to choose a feed of only folks you follow, which is all I want to see on there. That feed view doesn’t have a bottom menu (messages, search, etc.), though. WTAF
