A dad doing dad things.
I've vaguely wanted a 3D printer for years, but knew it wasn't really practical. My son recently earned enough rewards through a fundraiser to buy one and I LOVE IT! Why didn't I get one of these a long time ago?

I've loved every baseball movie I've ever watched, but I can't watch an actual baseball game.

The thing about Lu Dort's high arcing shot is that it allows plenty of time for the crowd to get into the "LUUUU!" Cheer.

Wanna do a bit of crowdsourcing here.

I want to put together a montage of best signs and videos from the marches today.

Send me your favorite!

May I offer you a cheery clam fact in these trying times?
Hardly new info, but BSky should know:

Warsaw's water quality is monitored by eight clams with magnets attached to their shells. If contamination in the water causes the clams to close, the magnets trigger an alarm and shut off the city's water supply.
Thank you, little guardian molluscs.

I want to spell out the basic reason it’s so dangerous for Elon to have control of the U.S. payments system. It may seem like a technical matter, but the dynamics are simple. 1/x
Elon Musk’s Team Now Has Access to Treasury’s Payments System
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave Mr. Musk’s representatives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency a powerful tool to monitor and potentially limit government spending.

There's no easy answer for health care, but it's obvious this current system is broken.

Smoking meats is weird because you have to make choices like, "Do I want to stay cozy and warm in my bed for 10 more minutes or do i want to feed my friends delicious food in 10-12 hours."

I was flipping through the guide and saw that they were honoring Arturo Sandoval at the Kennedy Center Honors tonight. Caught it just in time to hear A Mis Abuelos. Absolutely masterful performance and I'm definitely going to dig out the Danzon CD for a listen this week.

I work with a couple of former policemen and they were talking about the evil people they used to have to deal with regularly. I successfully resisted the urge to ask if people were born wicked or if they have wickedness thrust upon them.

I went caroling with some kids at church to the homes of some of the elderly members, and it was such a joyous event. The kids loved singing, the people adored us being there. A light of hope in a weary world!

I miss being able to sleep in on Saturday.

But I'm thankful that getting up on days when I can't (or shouldn't) sleep in is not nearly as difficult as it used to be either.

I recently added a CD player to my office sound system and I'm playing some of my old CDs. Tonight's listen is Deluxe by Better Than Ezra.

I'm big on 90s alternative, but I was also cheap. Most of my CDs came from either BMG Music Club or CD Warehouse.

Severe storms rolled through this morning about 6am, so school got cancelled. I'm glad I don't have to make those decisions, but I'd really like to overhear the conversations.
