We need to get better at creating and owning our own social media platforms. The fact that just about every newspaper, tv channel and social media Ap is owned by right-wingers is NUTS when triangulating facts is our only real defense against misinformation.
I'm not you, and I've never used TikTok, but it might be a good time to get off it and start building social infrastructure elsewhere. Which sucks. I know. But.
TikTok is going to be the video version of X in a couple months.......

To challenge myself, i took out three childrens books in gaelic. As in picture books. One is a nursery rhyme book, which is a bit more challenging, but this is where I'm at.

Core memory unleashed. Things i ate as a child: opal fruit wrappers, letters from friends, the plastic round black pudding, cupcake paper cases, dog biscuits and the wax from edam/babybel, tried to eat pencil shavings too. I think some of these were because I didnt know they weren't to be eaten.

Watching Goldeneye. Couple of things have struck me. I used to love that film and game as a kid. But it is a terrible film. And i did not realise that brosnan sounds like David Bowie in the very first line!

Granny has started saying weird things in her old age. When i said I was learning Gaelic, she said that "Scots aren't very good at languages". 🫠
Off the top of my head, I can say hello in 10 languages, and other words and phrases in each.
