The little pod of volunteers and staff that run Monarca trainings is overwhelmed.

We cannot do more after 12/15. That means you must become amoeba.

Attended a training & kept the booklet? You’re a trainer now. Go door to door getting likeminded neighbors in a signal chat. Whistle Patrol

Twin cities I know it’s cold but I’m begging you if you’re able to walk the main business corridors in your neighborhood.

They’re everywhere.

It’s not showing up in regular media.

Good things today: patient, kind, and fun family in our home, kids who literally do backflips for us, other kids who want to play games with us, pies, songs, FaceTime, and hugging like you mean it. It wasn’t long ago that we weren’t able to do any of these things together. I’ll take it when I can.

Despite Stranger Things coming out tonight, my kids are good to stick with our night-before-Thanksgiving tradition: pie baking and our annual viewing of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Why did we hear anything from Megyn Kelly after she insisted on-air that Santa was white? Should have ended there. And here we are.

Teen Vogue took young people seriously. It's impossible to overstate how important, how rare, and how profoundly needed that is.

Hello friends. Noem’s in town. Lots of kids were absent from school today. They’re afraid. I asked how we could help, and our MPS school suggested paid gift cards (Aldi, Walmart, or Cub).

Drop gift cards at your neighborhood school. Staff will get them to kids in need.

Take care of each other.

My folks live on a farm and are retired. My mom recently got an e-bike. She rode into town today to play cards with friends and called me when she got home. I can’t remember hearing her as genuinely happy as she was today. Blue sky, sun, and a bike ride. Magic.

Re-upping this one.
The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality.

If you have Amazon Prime and want to do something small to improve your day, watch The French Chef, Season 1, Episode 4. Learn to make an omelet from Julia Child (and enjoy her flubs). Breakfast game changer.

She is so smug. “Shooting is a pastime for we who live here.” She should take a look at what gun violence actually looks like in her utopia.

From 2018-2021, 73.1% of gun fatalities in Minnesota were suicides—and suicide rates in rural areas were 1.5 to 2 times higher than
urban areas.
