Trump previously signed an Executive Order banning TikTok, worried it would ruin his reelection chances.
If he "saves" it, he will have simply undone what he originally did—keeping his pattern of creating a non-existent threat, creating an unnecessary emergency, and then taking credit for fixing it.

aloha, tiktok users! just a heads up, here on bluesky, we keep it a little chiller! so if you're having a mental breakdown, don't make a big fuss, just quietly signal the mods by beginning and ending an otherwise unrelated post with the same word. any word will do, even something silly like aloha

When the madman cosplays a hero and signs his EO Monday reversing the TikTok ban, remember this…

Less than 2 years ago. Trump bragging that he tried to ban TikTok 3 years before but Democrats stopped him.

To those who are so upset about the TikTok ban, a reminder that it was the orange convicted felon that signed the executive order back in 2020 to eventually ban the platform. If he does bring it back, it’ll be to take credit for something he intentionally wanted to fuck up.

Trump was FOR banning TikTok before he was AGAINST it, which confirms he DOESN'T CARE and may well be FOR banning it tomorrow

TikTok users, whether you're political or not, relying on Trump is folly

Trump co-POTUS Elon is already implying TikTok's reinstatement should be based on China embracing X

So Trump wants the U.S. government to own half of TikTok

Literally: State run media

You know, just like Twitter-X

When you post snarky comments that “Trump wants to nationalize TikTok, sounds like socialism,” then you have just played right into his hands & fell for the shiny object he put in his post. Keep reading. The “new owners” with a 50% stake is the story here, not the foolishness.

If Congress actually gave a damn about our data privacy, they would’ve passed a sweeping data privacy bill, not a bill targeting TikTok.

This shake down of TikTok is Trump’s long con.

Trump started the TikTok ban, but has now flipped-flopped to play the hero while looking to enrich new owners (his donors).

There is nothing in this post about protecting American’s data, Trump’s original justification for the ban.

The effort to ban TikTok was started by Trump in 2020.

If Trump “saves” TikTok, he will just be undoing the problem he created.

The idea that a president can issue an executive order that overrides Congress, while it may be appealing to everyone who wants TikTok back and agrees that the TikTok ban is a first amendment violation, is actually illegal dictator shit

Annnnd there it is. There’s the scam.

Just FYI, we won’t use TikTok if Trump, Musk, Bezos, or Zuck have anything to do with its ownership.

Hope that helps 👍

I liked TikTok because I got to be who I really am in my heart: a creepy little lurker who watches everything and says little.

TikTok has changed the message users see when they open the app, removing references to the U.S. law and Donald Trump.

California, a state of nearly 40,000,000 people, has the same amount of representation in the United States Senate as Wyoming, a state of less than 600,000 people.

This is the direct result of a deal struck between slave states and free states in the 1700s.

It’s time for that to change.
