There’s this story I sometimes tell about a Gifted & Talented thing I did as a kid, where all the kids knew that “Ring Around the Rosy” was about the plague but they didn’t know how to adjust for these other kids who knew that too, so a bunch of 6 year olds just stood in a circle telling each other

Another weird Crowd Control thing: I went on a business trip to St. Louis once and the guy from the local office recommended the Toasted Ravioli to us and I assumed it was just something random on the menu he liked, but apparently it's the unique official food of St. Louis or something!

Like, Fuck LLMs, I hope OpenAI, Meta, and every other "All-in-on-AI" company crashes and burns sooner rather than later, but it is kinda unsettling how many people are gleefully saying "Clanker" with the Hard R. Giving real coded-word-for-a-slur-you-can't-say energy.
