#monktoberfest The Best Deploy Still Lets You Make Happy Hour

Sarah

But we still use hard mode at work sometimes.

Super frustrating how bad the bsky user search is at turning up people who use custom domains? I'm noticing a definite trend there as I attempt to tag the #monktoberfest speakers.

Soft skills require learning, practice, and attention.

Some people are English people, and kind of allergic to math. Strangely, senior paper in Trollope et al does not get you $.

Sarah Hines is up. It's been 8 years since she last presented at monktoberfest, an all time classic talk. She is presenting on resilience today. This talk is excellent. Rehearse Recovery, not panic.

Celebrate boring deploys. Amen.

Analyst relations are a perfect example of the reality where you can't just dictate stuff to people. You need to have the relationship built, the interpersonal trust, to advocate for solutions/tech choices/whatever to people. And that's soft skills. #monktoberfest
